The Floating Market is about 70 miles southwest of Bangkok. About half way there, we stop in a local town to take a look through their morning market.

It's 6:30AM and it's crowded. If you look down the center and see everyone is walking on a live rail line through the market. Some vendors are even set up right on the rails. Everyone knows what the train schedule is.

The coconuts are shredded, pressed and boiled for hours.

Coconuts are boiled in these large vats and then the solids are strained out and you're left with the syrup.

The owners also allowed us to take a look inside of their house.

Around 9:30AM, we arrive at our long tail boat stop. Here we'll board our boat for a 30 minute trip through the canals to the floating market.

The Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is one of the remaining semi-traditional floating markets in Thailand. It's about 70 miles southwest of Bangkok.

Finally we arrive at the Floating Market. It's still pretty tame at 10AM.

When we get off of our boat, we walk around the outside of the floating market. Eventually we'll board a paddle boat, that will take us through the market itself.
